Auditions

When you think about auditioning for something, you probably get that butterflies in your stomach phenomenon, or that feeling that you might faint, or even better – that feeling of, “I think I’m going to puke!” Even though nervousness is sometimes normal, in no way do we want you to be so nervous you are going to, well, you know. So here is the low-down of being evaluated.

Evaluation Process

After you have completed and turned in the Personal Profile and been through an interview, it will then be time for the evaluation phase of becoming a part of BCC Worship. You will be given (via e-mail) a date, location and time of the audition and also the music to have prepared. An evaluation waiver will have to be read and signed prior to auditioning.

Evaluation Evening Process:

  • Arrive at the church and check in at the creative arts office.
  • You will be given information to fill out and will be directed to a waiting area.
  • Once at the waiting area, you will have an opportunity to relax and fill out the information.
  • Right before your time to be evaluated, you will have the opportunity to hear the track you will be playing/singing with.
  • You will then go to the evaluation room. All evaluations will be video recorded for record-keeping purposes.

Results:

Results will be provided by communication in letter or e-mail format within 14 days following your evaluation. Detailed information will be provided with your evaluation responses.

Setting a standard

While this may seem to be an arduous process, we believe that we have to set a standard for everyone interested in being a part of BCC Worship. If you are truly called to be a part of the worship ministry, it will be well worth the effort put forth.
