"The Winter Is Over "
by Jerry Duncan

A garden enclosed with it's gate shut up tight
A fountain that's sealed and a spring that is dry
I looked to find You but sin hid my face
Oh to look on You and feel Your embrace

I walk through my desert and call out Your name
But Your voice is silenced by guilt and by shame
But I know You hear me when I call to You
So You stand there waiting 'til my heart’s renewed.

Here in Your presence, in my secret place
The veil will be lifted and I'll see Your face
The past is behind me, a new day begins
The winter in over, the rain will soon end.

It's time to forgive, it's the time to break free
To unlock the chains that before captured me
The time for tomorrow not yesterday stands
All mine before You, my heart and my hands

You said to fall down on my knees and pray
To humble myself and let You heal my way
So I lay down my pride and my hurt and my shame
I give them to You and I call out Your name
Now I stand here with my heart in need of Your grace
And You welcome me in with Your loving embrace

Here in Your presence, in my secret place
The veil will be lifted and I'll see Your face
The past is behind me a new day begins
The winter is over, the rain soon will end

When I run to You
I run to You, my Love
I cling to You, Jesus
I cling to You, my Love

So here in Your presence, in my secret place
The veil is now lifted and I see Your face
The past is behind me, a new day begins
The winter is over, the rain now must end.
